I'm planning to get married, have two kids at least: Shilpa

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, who became an international celeb following her success in the UK-based reality show Big Brother, has revealed that she plans to marry her year-long boyfriend Raj Kundra in another year and a half.

Asked to comment on her relationship and whether marriage is on the cards, Shilpa told The London News, "I normally don't talk about my personal life, but his name is Raj Kundra. We met a year ago."

"For the next 18 months, I've got my hands full with work, so I can't really think of marriage yet but, after that, I definitely want it to culminate in marriage. And, of course, I'm dying to have a family - at least two children," she said.

Shilpa, who will be seen in a two-minute sequence in the 22nd James Bond movie Quantum Of Science, said she will wrap up the Hollywood assignment and other projects she has on hand before getting married.

She will be seen portraying an Indian woman in the Hollywood film starring Daniel Craig and Mathieu Amalric directed by Marc Forster.

At present, Shilpa is also hosting Bigg Boss, the Indian version of Big Brother. Speaking about Jade Goody, who had travelled to India to participate in the reality show but had to return after being diagnosed with cervical cancer, Shilpa said she would ask people to pray for her recovery.

"I spoke to her and we exchanged numbers - it was really emotional. I can only ask people to pray for her, because there is a lot of power in prayers," she said.

Shilpa's S2 rises to No.1 in UK fragrance charts

In less than a month of its launch in UK, Shilpa Shetty's signature perfume S2 (pronounced 'S square') is reported to have emerged a bestseller, becoming the No.1 in the fragrance charts.

The scent is learnt to have beaten off stiff competition from signature perfumes of Kylie Minogue, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani and Paris Hilton; proving itself to be a cut above the rest in the sea of celebrity fragrances in the UK.

"It's a thrilling feeling for Shilpa and she's almost jumping with joy," said her spokesperson Dale Bhagwagar, about the actress having championed the perfume market.

When asked, whether the controversy about Shilpa's marriage rumours with NRI businessman Raj Kundra, who is the licensor of the perfume, fuelled its sudden popularity, Bhagwagar stated, "S2 was already on No.3 a week ago." "Though I won't deny that the controversy could have played a role in boosting its sales further," he admitted.

Describing the victorious fragrance, that has been created by the oldest French perfumer, Robertet, Bhagwagar informed, "Each ingredient has been hand-picked by Shilpa with each keynote having an individual importance to her. It is a kaleidoscope of rich floral with a fruity zest including the scent of Mandarin, Bergamot, Peach, Jasmine and Sandalwood among others."

This sweet smell of success comes close on the heels of the actress being awarded the honorary doctorate by the Leeds Metropolitan University. Shilpa Shetty has become an iconic household name in the UK after winning the reality show Celebrity Big Brother.
